  • When is best for our first dance?
Our advice is usually once all your evening guests have arrived and you've had the opportunity to welcome them all to your reception. A good time is just after the buffet has finished and use the first dance as Mr & Mrs to announce to the guests the party is well and truly open.
  • Is your equipment safe?
Professional Bands and DJs regularly work together in lots of venues. A quick conversation between the band and us in advance of your event to discuss the usual logistics like PA, playlists, timings and space will ensure your entertainment for the night runs smoothly.
  • How long does it take to set up the equipment?
Depending on the equipment booked for the event we usually arrive an hour or so before however, with a bigger equipment list and additional equipment booked sometimes it is better where possible to set up the day before or in the morning pre wedding. These details are usually discussed at the pre meeting.
  • We have a band booked as well. How will that work?
Professional Bands and DJs regularly work together in lots of venues. A quick conversation between the band and us in advance of your event to discuss the usual logistics like PA, playlists, timings and space will ensure your entertainment for the night runs smoothly.
  • Can we ask for requests on the night?
Absolutely, as long as its not so far leftfield that no other guest appreciates it and playing it kills the atmosphere as your wedding is not the time to experiment with music at the party! to be honest, most guests have something up their sleeve that enhances a party and local knowledge about other guests tastes in music. We also have a handy QR code you can use to send your requests in digitally!
  • Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, we do and in our experience, most venues will not let us in until they see sight of the documentation! We always forward n documentation to the venue in advance and get the formalities out of the way.
  • Can we meet before we book you?
Your choice of DJ will have a major impact on the success of your evening wedding party so it is vital we meet up before hand to discuss your plans, the music you require and all of the little things that make it personal to you. The wedding venue is always a good place to meet up and if we can get the event coordinator to attend it usually saves a lot of time. We will keep in touch with you prior to the event to ensure everything runs smoothly on the night and finalise any last minuté details.
  • How soon do we need to book you?
The best advice to give is book as soon as possible as popular dates get booked up well in advance sometimes up to 2 years! there is only a deposit to pay and the balance is not due until 28 days prior to your date.
  • Should we include music to cater for different age groups?
Yes, usually, a wedding party is a mix of every generation however, each wedding is different so this can be easily discussed at the meeting.
  • Can we list every single song we want played?
It has been done before but the dancefoor never really worked and guests just drifted off. As a DJ of many years I know how to fill the dance floor and ensure you and your guests have a blast. You are paying the Du to play the right music, at the right time, in the right order and all mixed together from start to finish.
  • Will you provide a written formal contract?
Yes. All bookings are confirmed with a legally binding written and signed agreement. The booking agreement offers you peace of mind and security and confirms all of the details like dates, times, locations and costs etc.
  • Can one of our friends who is a professional DJ play a set?
No problem, the best thing to do is for him or her get in touch with us in advance so we can have a chat about his play list and technical requirements and timings.
  • Is this your real full time job?
It most certainly is not a real job to some but hey ho what can you say other than it puts bread on the table! Seriously though, we are a company dedicated and passionate about what we do.
  • What music do you cover?
We have a large music collection so are able 16 play music from across all genres and generations and its all mixed smoothly to cater for everyone's taste. A good mix of the music everyone knows and enjoys from the past and the present usually ensures a full dancefloor with everyone enjoying themselves dancing the night away.
